Italo Disco (Still Cosmic..?)
With my research progressing into the cosmic/space disco scene I ended up tracing the whole thing right back to where it very first began, which was in Italy in the 1970s/80s. Here it is often referred to as 'Italo Disco', but also 'Cosmic Disco'; which is after one of the first big clubs opened in Italy that played this specific type of dance music. Upon further reading I have learnt that although similar, Cosmic and Italo disco are not the same thing.
