I enjoyed the concept of this short brief. However, I think I could have got more out of it had I allowed more time for it. The idea I generated tried to inspire a kind act toward an elderly person, but in a humorous way. I'm familiar with the screen printing process so this was a nice way of getting back into it. Prior to printing, whilst rendering the image in Illustrator, I found I struggled a bit. I found it hard to capture the same finish that I'd intended in the design originally. I think it would be useful in future to allocate some time simply to fiddle around on Illustrator - in order to help me get better acquainted with it.
In terms of the screen printing process itself, I found it really enjoyable and loved experimenting with the application of ink. We managed to generate some playful finishes. After this brief I feel inspired to get into the print room more and experiment more!
