I felt as thought I managed to create a reasonably interesting composition. With the lamp in the foreground leading the eye up the stairs and towards the silhouette of the cat. I then used a douse of colour in the door way in order to highlight the presence of the cat. I think that this could have been improved if I'd decided on using a different media. Maybe gouache or digital painting could have looked good.
I've found the playbook sessions on composition to be really useful as although it's a component to image making that I'm aware of, it's not something that I'm ever that conscious about including in my work. And so now I am definitely going to be a bit more aware to include in my work from now on.
