Colour !!! (2)

In order to broaden my understanding of the use of colour and it's meaning, I have undertaken some research. One book that I've found particularly useful is, 'Color Works', by Effie Opara and John Cantwell. Here I have scanned in some of the parts that I found most useful. The Adobe Colour program that was mentioned in the book is something that I intend to use in the generation of colour schemes for this book. I'm thinking that I could use photography that portrays the different cultures included in the story, and then extract the colour schemes from these photos. It's certainly a very interesting program to have access to and I'm excited to see how it impacts the generation of my ideas.

The last four images on this post are also very useful as they display the differences in global interpretations of colour, as well as similarities. So it will be important to bare this information in mind when deciding on what colour scheme to use for the publication.
