Above are a few of the ideas for potential patterns for Phoenix's balloon. Happy with the way that they look however, I was thinking that they might be a bit out of sync with the rest of the imagery in the book which is made up more of block colour rather than pattern. Due to this it might potentially be better to restrict the pattern fill to the basket of the balloon. This way the same detail could be added but in a more minimal way that doesn't distract too much.
